Description.
North of the village of
El Cotillo, about 3 kilometres, is the lighthouse of
El Cotillo, where the Museum
of Traditional Fisheries. (In the village there
are road signs to get to Faro).
On this coast and west,
we see a series of interconnected beaches, very
well protected from the waves, which form natural
lakes perfect for swimming.
First find
a small natural lagoon, and then we come to
the "Great Lake" which is a natural pool of clear
water and white sand perfect for families.
Then there is another good-sized lake,
which is common to find the Windsurfing novice
practitioners, as some schools this sport come here
to practice with beginners thanks to its excellent
security.
Later, following a path
of white sand bordered the coast and we are
finding all small beaches perfect for swimming and
diving.
Following this path
of sand to reach the town of Majanicho, but it
is advisable to make this journey in a 4x4 car.
There is no such
services, so you have to bring food and water if you
are going to spend the day in this paradise.
My Opinion:
One of my favourite
beaches, as they are not all crowded (all year), the
water is clear, the sand is white and there are a
lot of marine life.
February-April in this area is completely deserted,
so you can enjoy yourself in a paradise beach.
